Went to my first appointment. Feels so weird to be here for this reason again. I first met with an RN who went over all the info like dos and don'ts and gave me all the paperwork. Then I did the pee in a cup and went to meet with Dr. Johannsen. She seemed to have a good time laughing at my surprise pregnancy. But she was encouraging that there are lots of women in my age group having babies. We talked about genetic testing due to my age and risks. Then we did the ultrasound. Still duper early but we could see the little flicker of a heartbeat. 😊 She then put my due date for January 18th... Yup... Moya's birthday. But she said that she will induce me a week early because I have big babies and will be over 40 so plenty of reasons to go early. Lastly they did blood work for the normal stuff plus thyroid. Took a total of 6 vials of blood!
Next appointment is June29th... Will get an ultrasound at Seattle Ultrasound then go see Johannsen again for bloodwork... cool thing is... About a week after that we will know the gender from the bloodwork!
