I hear nothing Friday, obviously nothing over the weekend, and then nothing monday morning. So when does my doctor call with the results?... In the middle of Moya's Halloween parade at school. :\
Obviously I didn't answer. I listened to the voicemail and good news!!! NO gestational diabetes!! She said that one of the blood draws came back slightly high but that my fasting blood sugar and the blood draws at the 2 hour mark and 3 hour mark were all great. You need at least 2 high readings to be considered diabetic. PHEW!!!! Now she did say I need to be careful with the sugar. Yeah that's what ya wanna tell someone on Halloween. :) But I'll be good.
I looked up gestational diabetes diets to get an idea of some better eating habits. Seems simple enough in that regard... now I just gotta reign in my sweet tooth.
BUT I'm very happy to not have gestational diabetes! I was worried because one of the biggest problems with it is that it makes for big babies. Well I already have big babies without diabetes! I was worried this would me some mega huge baby and that would increase my chances of a c-section which I really really do not want to have! I know my doctor is great and I would be ok with a c-section but I just don't want one. But... all is well... just have my normal huge baby to look forward too. :)
